My interest in Castiglioni and his designs began in 2000, when I built the first version of this site, which was also my first foray into web design. My admiration for, and knowledge of, Castiglioni and his work has only increased since then. Much of what I first learned about Castiglioni came from searching the internet, then reading sections of books on design when I was a graduate student at Yale. In 2002 my knowledge greatly increased with the publication in English of Sergio Polano's excellent and authoritative catalogue raisonné, which is destined to become the standard reference on the work of Studio Castiglioni. Much of the new information and corrections added to this site in 2003 were gleaned from Polano's catalog. Following is a partial list of books and websites that I referred to in the creation of this site. I am indebted to all of them.
